Finding a Job
Newspapers | Online Job Search Engines | Placement Services | Networking
Now that you are looking for a job it is important to put some effort into your job search. Since you should like the work you will be doing, you will have to seriously consider which of your skills you enjoy using the most. What type of work interests and excites you? Don't feel as if the choices you make now will lock you into a certain path. You can always change directions. The average person changes jobs four to six times during their lifetime. On the other hand, if your interests are very focused, you may find a job that turns into a long-term successful career.
There are many ways to conduct a job search. Some of the components of a job search include: developing a game plan; gathering information about specific careers or jobs by looking online; gaining information about the economy by reading newspapers and magazines; developing resumes and cover letters; and accepting a job that matches your requirements.
